In 1979, nine small forested watersheds were instrumented in East Texas to determine the effect of intensive forest management practices on water quantity and quality. Three replications of three treatments were used: 1) clearcutting - followed by shearing ant windrowing, 2) clearcutting - followed by roller chopping and 3) undisturbed control.
