| Note | "The value of marine surveys in obtaining critical information on the biology of the Marbled Murrelet has recently been appreciated, largely due to the decline of the species and the need to develop recovery and management plans (Ralph et al. 1995, USFWS 1997). This report summarizes the results of 1997 research on at sea abundance, distribution, and productivity of Marbled Murrelets in relation to prior years, and examines population trends in central Oregon over the 6 year period.
