Description Constructing the foundations of both powerhouses was a part of the MWAK contract, in which they bid the concrete below the turbine floor at $7.00 per cubic yard and that above the turbine floor at $10.00 per cubic yard. The completion of the left (west) powerhouse structure shown here was a part of the original CBI contract. They bid the concrete in the substructure at $15.00 per cubic yard, intermediate structure at $24.00, and $38.00 for that in the superstructure. The space occupied by...
The first concrete for the foundations of the west powerhouse were poured in December of 1935 and was completed by August of 1940.

Format Original photographic prints were scanned at 24 bit 3000 pixels by the long side for master TIFF files on an Plustek OpticBook 3600 Plus. Also, 24 bit 150 PPI JPEGs were created with the OpticBook 3600 Plus and added to the CONTENTdm database at the WSU Libraries
