Title	Draft Tube Outlet Portal

Description	Three such draft tube outlet portals as seen here permit the spent water to pass from each turbine in the powerhouse into the tailrace. The floor upon which the workman is standing is at elevation 896. To permit dewatering of the turbine pits these portals are closed by 15 x 17 foot steel gates, handled by a 14 ton capacity Cyclops crane operated on the draft tube bridge.
