Description Bechtold will describe the Hood Canal Dissolved Oxygen Program, which measures and models dead zones in Hood Canal. Various factors will be presented, including red alder, domestic septic systems, atmosphere, surface water, surface runoff and groundwater, shoreline areas, and streams. Two models will be considered: the Distributed Hydrology Soil Vegetation Model, and the Solute Export Model. Groundwater seepage inputs will be identified.
