Brad Nottle runs a farming business in the Wheatbelt town of Brookton, WA. Brad’s request was for an open front shed with easy accessibility and the ability to store approx. 3,600 bales of hay.
WHEATBELT STEEL’S ANSWER
A 40m x 41m x 8.9m structural steel open front shed with 2 7.4m x 16m clearspan openings to increase the accessibility and a 40m x 5m x 8.6m cantilever to offer additional protection to the stacks of hay to the front of the shed.
CONSTRUCTION
Column Construction using a Universal Beam (RSJ), Rafter Construction used was a Parallel Chord Web Truss and all steelwork Hot Dip Galvanised Columns with Duragal Trusses and Cold Galv Painted Welds.
