Squarewell Farming Co is a family owned grain and sheep farming operation in the mid-west region of Northampton, WA. The Teakle family required a shed large enough to store their machinery.
WHEATBELT STEEL’S ANSWER
A 30m x 18m x 6.6m structural steel open front shed with Universal Beam RSJ column construction and parallel web cord truss construction, designed to withstand the property’s wind region rating. In discussion with the client, it was decided the shed would also feature two 6m x 15m clearspan openings. The removal of the columns from the opening of the shed ensured greater accessibility and less obstruction when moving machinery in and out of the shed.
CONSTRUCTION
Column Construction using a Universal Beam (RSJ), Rafter Construction used was a Parallel Chord Web Truss and all steelwork Hot Dip Galvanised Columns with Duragal Trusses and Cold Galv Painted Welds.
