Message of Compassion
To all affected by Fires in the Esperance Area
THE recent devastation caused through the massive ‘catastrophic’ fires in the southern areas of Esperance, Grass Patch, Salmon Gums, Scaddan, Merivale and nearby has no doubt touched everyone in the country. The deaths of a well known local farmer and three international backpackers who were working in the area has greatly compounded to the grief and loss already being experienced by the ravaging of thousands of hectares of land, including prime farmland and livestock in what was for alot of people, the best season for many years.
As a company who has many valued clients and friends in these areas, we feel your loss keenly. We want to extend our heartfelt sympathies and thoughts to all those affected by these devastating events as well as the courageous men and women who have been fighting these dangerous fires day and night since they started. We also acknowledge that these events continue on for those directly affected long after the eyes of the media and mainstream public have gone and urge all to continue to be mindful of these folks and where possible assist in any way you can.
Offers of help can be accommodation, stock agistment, food etc which will all assist these people in this time of need. Cash Dontations can be made via the Esperance Shire Council – Phone (08) 9071 0666 Website www.esperance.wa.gov.au
